Should be there at Flightsim later today or maybe tomorrow: A big thank you goes to Bill Lionheart of Lionheart Creations, whose tutorial on FS9 Unlimited Export made this FSX-to-FS9 conversion possible.

Manfred, I don't think I can take the ups and downs anymore. First, I didn't think there would be an FS9 version. And now...! I'll be sure to have the paramedics standing by for when I pass out this afternoon. I'll also have to explain to my wife what all the hooting and hollering was about when I read your news I don't think I can say it enough, so I'll just stick with a hearty THANK YOU! ;D

Manfred Thanks for making this version. The snow should be low enough here shortly to take photos of the 43e-50 propeller I promised some time ago. All the best! Warren

Thank you from Italy as well. First thing to do once downloaded is to transplant better FD ( the default ones are [censored] ) and then it will be ready to join my hangar.

A updated FDE is already in the works by the very talented Luis Pallas. For those who have a licensed copy of the MAAM DC3 in the interim you can of course combine the exceptional visual airplane from Manfred with the best currently available FDE for the classic Douglas. Since it involves proprietary software from the great folks at MAAM these mods would have to be done by each user individually. But having tested it myself last week it is quite simple to do....of course now Markus has to start all over with his brushwork...there are a lot of repaints to do Thanks Manfred for making the 3 for FS9 Stefan

woohoo! released the same time Skyspirit released their 747-8i! thanks a lot, Manfred! can't wait for civilian repaints to come through unless you're working on the civilian DC-3 as well?

for those who do not have the MAAM, and always as an interim solution until the new FD arrive, you can always use the FD from www.douglasdc3.com/ or the Radio Range DC3 from www.dc3airways.com/ that are freeware and WAY better than the default. You only need to have a little capability of working " under the hood", so to speak, of the sim to get a way better experience, while waiting for the dedicated FD.
