As I really enjoy the classic traffic, I did some modification to be able to have some ANG traffic on certain airport .... and thanks to David Wooster, now we can have F-86s and F-89!! Some F-86L from the Califirnia ANG in Fresno. F-102 from the Hawaian ANG. And F-89 scorpions from the Oregon ANG in Portland. Thanks to the developpers of those sceneries and aircrafts!!!

So how about painting up a few the F89s amd 86s for a few more of the ANG during the late 50s and 60s like your KPDX Portland. When I asked David Wooster to do the F-86L and F-89 for sceneries I was doing I also planned to do many of the ANG's but finding some one to paint them was the issue. David was kind enough to give me a few paints to get started on ie. Hamilton (I have a whole new Hamilton nearly complete) Charleston (available), McGuire (nearly complete) Harmon and Goose Bay (available) but now I cold use some help creating more for our era.
So Deltadart, interested?
So will these you have done be available to download?

So will these you have done be available to download? I will to ask David Wooster if he agree that I used his repaint to do mine and that I can make them available for download...

That’s fine but he will. He only released the F-89 through our sceneries and not as an individual aircraft release even though I thought it would be great if he did as maybe more folks would have noticed it if it was released separately . But he will be glad to here someone is adding new paints as I.
By the way your work looks ok to me, glad to have it.

I will update the F-89 repaints first before releasing them, with the real serial number and a more precise paint...

I will update the F-89 repaints first before releasing them, with the real serial number and a more precise paint... Now the repaint are more right, the serial numbers match with real aircraft flying for the 123rd FIS and they are all different!! I have also repaint the F-86L from the Idaho ANG in Boise, the C-97 from the UTAH and Minnesota ANG...

Thanks Deltadart for the repaints. I have installed and functioning in Traffic files and all looks great. I have two questions though,
1. Can you also release your Idaho ANG F86 paints? 2. Your KFAT ANG area looks modified with Hangars apparently not in the origninal CA59 or CA62 Did you customize existing Hangar Objects to add the California Air National Guard writing" If so would you mind making that one available as well? Makes quite an improvement over the existing layout of that area.
thanks

The Fresno ANG area (which is the on the southern edge of the airport) on my computer looks exactly like Deltadart's does, except he has changed the surface to asphalt. The 1962 Historic Aerials image shows fresh concrete there, which is what we used. It might have been asphalt earlier, I don't know.
If your area does not look like this, I would suggest you download and install the updated version of the California 1959/62 package, from my scenery page.

Thanks Tom, figured out what my problem was. I did have the latest installed but it seems when I did it I decided to move the CA59&62 down one level to my North America folder within Addon Scenery. Seems I failed to delete the old ones or even change the Scenery Lib to point to the new ones so I have been blissfully unaware I was not seeing the new stuff. Guess it\s time to re-explore the CA area again. KFAT is much improved over what I was seeing before.
I have left the surface as cement as per the 1962 Histric Aerials images shows but implemented the dual taxi system in in that part of the airport to allow the fighters to park and takeoff correctly. Still testing but seems to work fine.

Hi Al, Thanks for the nice repaints! Hopefully you might upload some others. although it was rather tricky to place all twenty F-86 on the quite small ANG area at Frenso. But it looks great anyway. It seems that the texture folder for the "AI F-86L CALIF ANG 53-0739" (last entry in aircraft.cfg) is missing. Bernard
