In the same airport? In all the world's airports? Did you add some sort of add-on before this began happening?

Have you altered the aircraft cfg file?

Yes, my guess is that the Contact Points or the MOI values have been changed in the aircraft.cfg file? The other possibility would be an odd fuel load (one sided), or improper changes to the Payload, or the Weight and Balance section.
The other thing to try is to switch to the default Cessna at SeaTac flight, and then switch to the DC-3.

thx for all the suggestions. I havent solved the prob yet. the planes involved are only AI default ms dc-3's. I used beaumont & blitzer's cfg for them, and they have been stable for 4 years. Dont know what makes em jump on the tarmac now. wondering about scenery. it happens with any default AI dc-3 at any airport query: where is the dc-3 cfg on the ms disks, or is there a calclassic version that will work better? thx cman

Hmmm... that's an interesting way to park your DC3 fleet. ;D If you need the Aircraft.cfg for the FS9 DC3, I can send it to you mine. Never had any problem with them. Just tell me if you need the default DC3 file or the DC-3 Hangar's ones. PS Rather, go here: www.douglasdc3.com/ and grab one of the best dynamics upgrade for the DC3, if you haven't already.

Hi,
If you are in slew mode when you load this airport try this first:
1. Get out of slew mode (Y). 2. Go to World/Map, change your heading by one degree, and click OK. 3. Now check out the DC-3's.
Hope this helps,

okay I give. I tried both ideas, used the best dynamics upgrade, and tried the heading adjustment. the darn planes keep spinning into the pavement and disappearing the moment the scenery appears.
they fly fine, as AI. too weird. Think I need a lemonade.

I think you need a new video driver. At least this is how once I did resolve a similar situation ( only in my case MY plane, whatever plane I selected, danced everywhere and the AI looked on, some of them clapping and some whistling). That was me, and maybe your problem is different, but changing video driver doesn't cost a lot. Try it.

ashaman: got the new video driver for teh NVD 7600GT. Planes still flip on the runway. But the sim looks great now, and better FPS.
my last post on this topic, appreciate the support. PM me if anybody has an idea.
thx, cman

Hi, I have to go with Tom's first post. The elevation while parked and the elevation of the contact points no longer "jive". It's the same thing that I have problems with concerning blimps and flying boats. It's a real trick to match them. I'd go back to a clean copy of the default .cfg and .air files. ....or the ones that came with Tom's package. Yours,

Hi,
No there isn't. I have a complete AI DC-3. I use the default DC-3 in the frame rate friendly GA traffic and I've never seen this. However, I do remember people on other forums having this problem (with different planes), but I don't know the cure...
