Actually FS9 (etc.) can create water runways, they just can’t be used by AI aircraft. I don’t know the situation with FS2020. Hi Tom yes in MSFS we can make water runways and water parking spots, directly with the SDK. Cheers

jacklyonHeyyy, sorry for the delay! That is some AMAZING News you got here!!! Also if my runways are misplaced, feel free to tell me, I can easily move them I don't own Redwings sceneries (yet?) but they look amazing! If you feel like it, we can team up and actually make an "All in One" (My runways + Your terminals) If you do feel like making the terminal and docks for the others bases too , we could make it an even better project together . if not, am all fine with complement download as you mention Regards, SkyLane

No problem, if you want to add the terminals, in your scenery. Yes i will check, for water runway at montevideo, and keep you informed if need to move them. (i will send a PM about that soon) Cheers

This the the list I was given my the person making the Flying Boats Flightplans (he did it for the Laté, thats why I started this project), he gave me the Land airports names

Your idea of creating seaplane bases for the Dornier Do-X is generally speaking interesting and absolutely worth considering. Your lists are already quite helpful for this.
Your question is, how can the exact locations of the moorings at that time be determined? This is definitely not that easy. One option is to enter search terms like “Do-X + location or town” in Google. For Bordeaux, for example, I found out that the Dox-X landed in Roque de Thau on the Gironde Estuary. Or at Alsterlust in Hamburg. The other option is offered by numerous images on the web that show the Do-X at different sites. With a bit of luck, more precise informations will be given. As I noticed, the Do-x didn't moored necessarily at usual seaplane locations.
As I said, I will definitely take up the idea of recreating Do-X flights. However, iI will use FS9, as I think it makes more sense to implement the whole thing in a more or less backdated environment than in the current world of MSFS. Plus it's much simpler and cheaper! Neverthelessand at least we could share our results, what would be beneficial for both!

Actually FS9 (etc.) can create water runways, they just can’t be used by AI aircraft. I don’t know the situation with FS2020. Are you sure??? I built an airport on Lake Ammersee Bavaria with working AI traffic...
On Lake Forggensee is AI traffic too.

Not on my computer they don’t. Tried it many times. I need a narrow concrete runway, as I remember.

ADE9 split compile and AFCAD2 are the solution.
I am sure you know how to modify the traffic for your AI aircrafts. The scenery is based on UT Europe (better shorelines)
Good Luck

Guenther,
Correct, that's what I do too. I was talking about runways coded as WATER that do not work for AI aircraft.

You may use "unkown" instead.

Okay, you are correct, but is there a problem to code it as concrete, if it is invisible?

If you reduce runway width to 0.4 feet, it will be invisible. I exceptionally use Afcad to get this size.

Of course. But why having broader runways or any other links on water?
