Hi all,
I've released the CV-240, 340, and 440 with the new VC's on my ConvairLiner page. Try them out and let us know here in this thread if you see any problems.
If you beta tested the CV-340 it would be worth it to download this version and reinstall - it has a few nice additions, including a new throttle quadrant texture from Edd Jezard.
Thanks,

The good and the bad in FSX with Acceleration and SP2. The good: The 340 cockpit is perfect, looks fantastic. The bad: The 240 and 440 appear to be missing a texture for the sidewall of the floor console and throttle. The 240 overhead panel has a real serious texture problem.

Copying those two files into the 240 panel folder fixed the overhead panel and the central panel on the engine control quadrant in the 240. The floor console issue continues in the 240 and 440. I'm wondering if there is something missing in the VC model in 240 and 440 that prevents the floor console sides from displaying properly. Like I said, the 340 cockpit is perfect.

Hi, What, you don't like my new overhead cockpit windows? Sorry about the missing pan1 and pan2 files in the 240pnlKMCC folder; I'll fix that. A quick copy and paste from the 340pnlKMCC folder should indeed fix that. The console texture is on one of the main fuselage textures. If it's not there, then that will happen. I don't remember seeing this missing in FS9 when I tested them - is this only an FSX SP2 problem? Does anyone else see this in FS9? Thanks for the report,

It is present in the texture cv240rightaft_t, but it's not showing up in the cockpit. I dunno, maybe this is just another "feature" of FSX.

Hi,
OK, I know the problem.
In FS9, the console of the 240 and 440 are not textured (plain gray). It looks OK, so I didn't notice it. In FSX SP2, that untextured area apparently turns transparent. I will fix this.
Thanks,
Tom

Hi,
OK, all fixed. Re-download any of the Convair Base Packs that you have these problems with. To get the 240 VC fixed you will need to download and install the American 240, unless you've copied and pasted the pan1.bmp and pan2.bmp files from the 340pnlKMCC folder.
Glad you are enjoying them!

I have a problem when viewing the cockpit area in spot view. The cockpit has no textures and looks purple and blue-green. The VC view textures are fine and no other problems.
I have only had this problem with the 240 model although I haven't tried the 440 yet.
Am I missing something?
Chris

Thank You Tom for all your hard work. The Convairs are the planes that of late I have been flying and enjoying and this update is much appreciated.
