Al, both MIA and BWI are looking great. Can't wait to try them out, and thanks for all your hard work on these.

Hi,
OK, there was only one approach chart for KBWI (ILS Rwy 28) and the diagram on the back. It's up in my US East album.
Hope this helps,

Tom, Thanks for the upload. The diagram made clear the south side of the field. All I had was a post card that showed little detail of that area. So... I also found (through the wonders of Google Earth and historicaerials.com) that my terminal was too small. Thanks to SketchUp, that was an easy fix. Al

Hi,
Good job!
All I can see in the diagram that's not in your AFCAD is the runup area leading to runway 28, and the taxiway and tiny ramp at the end of runway 15. I assume that is the GA parking area (or at least I would make it that). GA parking was common even at large airports in our era.
Also, you have a large ramp that's not on the diagram at the northeast corner - the diagram shows some streets, but not a taxiable area.
Glad to help,

Tom,
Good catch on the ramp by Rwy 15. That's actually a factory ramp. Currently, the facility is used by Northrop-Grumman and their modified BAC 111s. I don't who used it during the late 1950s. Regardless, I'll add it in.
And you're right about the 28 run-up pad. Oops.
The ramp extending to the northwest from the air carrier ramp is copied directly from the aerial survey photo on historicaerials.com. The photo is dated 1957, but I can't vouch for the accuracy of that date. The ramp is occupied by what appear to be military aircraft (BT-13s, maybe?). There's also two large hangars on the ramp that don't show up on the chart.
All I can guess is that the Jepp chart hasn't been updated to 1957/58. But, I could be wrong. I'll do a little more research and find out the correct layout.

Here's some updates (I know this thread is titled Miami...but): The central "B" concourse, complete except for detail items, like the observation deck handrail and light poles. Looking at the control tower and center section of the terminal. The control tower and terminal as viewed from the end of the observation deck. Some textures are missing, and I have yet to add any details to the other two concourses. I might change the window textures. Do you think they look too blue? Al

Iam good with textures, If you look at the Amon Carter scenery, most of those textures are derived from mine - Tom did modifications that I plan on further detailing in the near future. I would be happy to texture KMIA if I have good source material. I would also like to work with the AFCADs and later gate positions to take it to the early 1970's.

Sorry for not posting sooner. I honestly thought this thread was dead for the time being. I'll drop you a PM.

This is very nice indeed. I see alot of detail, but looking at all the buildings that you have you are still missing the hot dog stand! Great job
