Cabin Superchargers and Engine Superchargers were separate pieces of equipment, as I understand.

I am thinking you are correct Tom. Cabin Superchargers are indeed separate units installed on engines 1 and 4. And they do indeed have a disconnect position which might be where our slight error came from regarding the engine Superchargers. Still trying to find more conclusive input on the LB and HB section to see if there was a disconnect position for those as well. Stefan ps. Thanks to Bill here is the relevant explanation from the C-121 handbook. "All the levers have a HIGH and LOW position. The two outboard levers (Engines No 1 and No 4) have a third position labeled EMERGENCY CABIN SUPERCHARGER DISCONNECT, which mechanically disconnects cabin pressurization supercharger driveshafts from the engines." I guess we did take a bit of creative licence with our system
