Frank, I have already thanked you privately but will do so publicly. Thanks a lot. I have waited a few years for a Monarch repaint. I will now fly the routes.
Anybody out there to do some British Airlines?
Thanks again.

Frank, when do you sleep? The Monarch looks great as do all the other ones I have gotten from you. Can't wait to see whats coming out of your paintshop next! I have been looking at more of the south american lines on Airliners.net lately, making me think about requesting some of those great repaints from South America on your site.

Thanks guys, glad you like them. Still in Southern Africa, Central African Airways Douglas C-47B-20-DK, C/N 26994 circa 1956. VP-YKH was in service from 1953 to 1964 and named R.M.S. Matabele" Central African Airways (CAA) was formed in 1946 from the wartime Southern Rhodesian Air Services (SRAS), which was in turn formed from the pre-war Rhodesia And Nyasaland Airways (RANA) and Southern Rhodesia Air Force (SRAF) communications squadron. The airline was the national carrier initially of Southern Rhodesia, then of the Central African Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland in 1953. It was headquartered in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia. In 1956 CAA operated 5 Douglas C-47's mainly as second line aircraft. In 1958 CAA established the first computerized reservations system in Africa, using a Hollerith mechanical computer. In 1964 CAA established subsidiary airlines in the three countries of the Central African Federation as Air Malawi, Air Rhodesia and Zambia Airways and in 1967 all CAA assets were divided among the three subsidiaries and CAA ceased to be an operator on 31 August 1967. All re-paints are for Fs9. Andre

Another beautiful repaint Andre, will be in my hangar as well as SAA. Ok, KLM circa 1955 done for JeanB, based on a drawing and one bad black and white photo, so chances are that the fuse stripes above the cabin windows is off. It will do for now until a better photo pops up. This particular C47 started life as NÂș 93463 (c/n 13377) to RAF as Dakota III KG618. Sold Feb. 1947. Became PH-TDZ of KLM, and was later reregistered PH-DAZ. Went through numerous modifications and served as passenger/mail and cargo transporter.

Simon, Arne, Andre, Thank You. Ok, Jaap De Barre sent me a photo of the KLM C47 which is clearer, thanks Jaap. I can now go back and correct the errors, so it will be a couple of days if not sooner before it's done.

Oh my gosh Frank, that is very very BEAUTIFUL! Exactly like I remember the KLM Daks from when I was a child (3-7 years old). Cheers, Maarten
