One item of caution, the SAAF Dak's are *NOT* Basler conversions, they're Dodson International conversions. www.turbinedc3.com/Braddick Air Services is supporting the aircraft and also doing the Dodson Conversion on other aircraft. www.bsasinternational.com/projects.htmWhile they use a similar model of PT-6, they have installed a larger cargo door and did not extend the fuselage like Basler did.

After visiting both web sites it actually looks like everybody is extending the fuselage, although I would guess as a special order you could ask them not to.
Dodson: The following upgraded features and modifications come standard with your Dodson Turbine DC3:
Long-Range Fuel System 1030 Gallons 40.5” Fuselage Stretch
BSAS from their tech specs:
FUSELAGE EXTENSION Fuselage extension length 40 inch I'm all for a bigger fuselage, means I can stuff more virtual cargo into it

Turning a Dak into a tri-motor is just unkind.

Turning a Dak into a tri-motor is just unkind. Actually, it makes the Junkers Ju-52/3m look pretty by comparison.

Yeah, adding engines to an existing design does not always result in something that is pleasing to the eye. B-17 with five engines. P-40C with two engines.

Looks like the B-17 rear-ended a P-47!
