Hi André!
That is a beautiful livery. I'm looking forward to the day I can download it for Jens' Britannia. Thank you very much!
Cheers, Maarten

Ghana Airways Ilyushin Il-18 In 1962 the Ghana Airways fleet was the first one in the world to comprise Russian, British and American aircraft. Two Britannias were used for long-haul services, primarily to London, and two Herons and two DC-3s were used for local services, while the Ilyushins were used on routes between Accra, Lagos and Dakar to Addis Ababa via Kano and via Leopoldville to Nairobi, as well as to Moscow. c/n 180002502 Ilyushin Il-18V. Delivered 14 February 1961 and registered as 9G-AAL. Returned to Soviet Union in June 1963 and registered as CCCP-75533. With Aeroflot from January 1964. Crashed on take-off with locked rudder at Samarkland on 5 June 1970.

Yes you are right Gary, the Viscounts were part of their fleet. There were also two Herons in their fleet in 1961, but I'm not sure which year they were transfered to the Ghana Airforce. Soon as Derek releases the Herons I'll also paint them, but until then I promise this is the last of the Ghana Airways paints. The Antonov was only part of their fleet for one year and I've only found one b&w picture of it. Model was also a pain to paint as the texture mapping over the nose is not good. Antonov An-12BP c/n 024009 The only Ghana Airways Antonov An-12 was delivered on 4 October 1961 and registered as 9G-AAZ. It was withdrawn from use in 1962 and returned to the Soviet Union in 1963.
