Hey guys, cool Idea for a thread. Here's a shot of me behind the wheel of my dearly departed 1977 Ford Ranchero GT. No shots of me with the classic birds but I did have the honor of directing Air Canada's TCA Lockheed L-10 Electra when it came across the ramp where I used to work. Figures... the one day I didn't bring the camera to work. Oh yeah.... Almost forgot, I got to tow this baby in and out of the hangar for a week when it was in town for some survey work. We had the only hanger on the field big enough This is what was usually parked in the hangar Brian

If so, thanks a million. I fly both yours and Bill Lyon's most of the time when I want fly low and slow and forget the heavy stuff. Jesse

Yeppers... that would be me. I've retired from building planes (I'm so far behind the power curve I'm going backwards) but I still dabble with re-paints once in a while.

What a great idea, it's nice to see what so many flightsimmers look like. I don't have a picture of me with a propliner, but at least it's a plane with a prop: One of my favorite activities is participating in the EAA's "Young Eagles" program where we give kids an introduction to aviation and their first flight in small plane. That's me giving a little ground school before a flight. I've flown something like 400 kids as part of this program.

Definitely not a propliner, not even a prop... well... it was a photography prop at an airshow. I don't have any pictures of me around aircraft except for this one that was taken about 5 years ago. When I'm at a show, odds are I'm alone.

Hi Nels and Mike (stansdds)! Good to finally "see" you both. It was Wolfgang's original idea, and it turned out to be a great one. Of course there have been similar threads in the past in various forums, but they all get lost over time, unfortunately. I appreciate that flightsim has the Developer's Spotlight (click the Who's Who link). Here's my entry: www.flightsim.com/main/who/gibson.htmSeveral others here are also listed. BTW, the links in that piece need to be updated to: CalClassic Propliners: www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: www.freeflightdesign.com/Thanks,

If my old memory serves me right, you also had a picture a few years back of you at the controls of an ancient steam engine. Tom is also a railfan and afficionado. Jesse

Welcome to CalClassic guys. Nels, we've known each other for a long time and I'm glad to see you over here now. Brian - You met some of the best Douglas pilots I know. Those guys are a lot of fun to be around and I'm lucky enough to see them about once a month since they're based at Midway Airport (KJWY) down south of me. Both of their DC-3's and their CV-340 are immaculate aircraft. Mike - It may just be a "prop", but it looks a lot cleaner than anything I've ever gotten my picture taken in.

Good to be here. I wish I had more time to hang out in the forums, but running FlightSim.Com and Train-Sim.Com is a full time job, seven days a week. Tom, I did update the links on you Who's Who listing. My, that listing has been there for a long time! Yes, I'm still flying the Archer that DreamFleet made famous. Just this morning I flew five more Young Eagles. And it's true, I did once get to run a steam train:

Hi, Thanks for updating that, Nels. Yes, we have been in FS a long time! I started the old Classic Airliner Page in 1996 or so - 13 years. Nice shot of you and the steamer.

I'm happy to see that shot again. It was a long time ago and at my age I usually don't remember what happened five minutes ago. ;D Noel Sivertson and I have been with you two right from the start.
