Hi. Today's the 60th aniversary of Boeing's 367-80 first flight, the famous Dash-80...pioneer of the "Jet-Age" for passenger flights. A long and interesting career for this plane's subsequent 707 series, the last passenger 707 was retired from service in 2011 (Saha Airlines).......but others are still serving on military duties, and probably will do for several years www.thisdayinaviation.com/15-july-1954/

Shortly after the initial test flight, Test Pilot Tex Johnson took the plane up again and this time he did what had not been done before. He barrel rolled the 707. Jesse www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra_khhzuFlE

Would like to see them do this with the 787 at Farnborough. The airbus people would need a diaper change.
