Hi all, I'll be out of town this next week, seeing the sights of Glacier National Park. Leaving tomorrow and back online on the 18th. Have a great time wherever you are. Take care,

Thanks! We are staying right on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River, less than a mile from the park's south entrance. We can hear the trains from here, but can't see them. It's 26 deg. F this morning- bracing for a San Diego boy.

BTW, the flights here (Delta A319 to SLC, CRJ900 to Kalispell MT) went just fine, no problems. My first RJ flight- it had more legroom than the Airbus. I had to duck a bit walking down the aisle, though.
The approach to the airport was spectacular- we descended over Flathead Lake, then a 90 deg right turn to the final approach, with the Grand Teton mountains looming up in front of you.

What about an Embraer ERJ145? Entering the plane on both journeys (Detroit - Portland ME and back) I hit my head really hard against what turned out to be the exit sign. I had to walk like an old geezer to my seat. Cheers, Maarten

The CRJ has that same sign at the exit rows. Luckily I missed hitting it both times.

I have rode on one Airbus, AAL A300. Tried to fit into an A320 seat once, dear GOD that is a torture device...
