Hi all, @kenlawson : In that case I have no idea, sorry... mdeval : Bernard bring you the answer just above this post. Thank you for your help @thegoldenrocket ! abbotsford & albinger : Thank you very much for your kind words. I will try to spread the news at flightsim.com and SOH as soon as possible but I am very busy since for a few months and cannot promise when I will be able to do that. But feel free to share it on forums if you want =) Again, thank you all, Best, Maxime.

In the manual I find the following:
The scenery.cfg file is located in your main FS9 Folder. You can open this file with the notepad. Always make sure that your AREA.XXX is equal to your layer=XXX for each scenery. (Don't try to do this by yourself, several utilities can do that for you)
There seems to be disagreement out there on this matter, and the only editor I have found is java based, which I will not have or run.
I'd appreciate comments from the crowd as to whether I should make the two areas (which are addons) agree in terms of Area vs. Layer numbers. Thanks.

Larry: Thanks for the link. It worked like a charm. It may be just me, but FS seems to load up faster. abbotsford: I don't disagree with you that the likelihood that my simple system is going to be invaded by hordes of hackers isn't great, but given Oracle's track record, I don't see the need to provide an open back door for a "drive by". I, too, have been in this stuff since 1980, starting with mainframes, and am a bit paranoid over the number and extreme cleverness of the modern hackers, but that's me. Hacking code, by the way, used to be a good thing.

Loving the difference FS9G is making. Anyone out there using FS9G along with Silver Wings. Considering a separate install using both. Comments / Advice ?
Thanks, Mike

Hi Guys, First of all, I wish you all a happy new year ! I am a bit late but better late than never I would like to share with you some news I have about the new FE9G version to come in a near future. The most enhanced part will be the water which has been a very long work. I tried this time to get colors near to the real water, I hope I succeed ! Don't hesistate to tell me if you have some suggestions for enhancements. Note that the water will be optimized for the recommended FSUIPC visibility settings which is already explain in the current FE9G manual. This new enhanced water will appear more grey/greenish than the previous version. Here are some screenshots to compare the old and the new water to come: The current "old" FE9G water with a beautiful weather : The new FE9G water with a beautiful weather : The new FE9G water with a bad weather : Best, Maxime.

Hi Maxime,
I only just discovered this thread. FE9G looks wonderful. So much more realistic. Looking forward to installing it on my system.
Regarding the water textures, yes, the latest version looks better than the old one.
Thanks so much for your hard work.
Best regards.
Henri

Hi Maxime, Your textures really give a completely new and very realistic look to FS9. Something I have never seen before. The sky colors and textures and plane reflection look wonderful. And the horizon finally is realistic. Just gorgeous. Attached a few screenshots (not edited at all). Kind regards, Henri
