While finishing up Caracas I decided to start a new project on an airport a little bit closer to home. Closer as in same country. Clue - Located in the Northeastern part of the US, along a major river. 2hours driving from Philadelphia and 3hours from NYC.   Rendition of what it looked like in 1958. |

Nope, not Dover. It had one of the shortest runways to see jet traffic in the US, at 4970ft.

You are the winner. Harrisburg airport , aka Capitol city KCXY. I will probably include both 1958 and 1962 to reflect the terminal expansion. I also plan on doing KMDT or what used to be Olmsted AFB right across the Susquehanna river. |
