Shalom and greetings all my pals, Eastern's Arrival At KMIA For First Time In Ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Board and Management of the new Eastern Air Lines welcomes the first aircraft in Eastern’s fleet, a Boeing 737-800! The aircraft will be flown into Miami International Airport for the first time on Friday, December 19th at 2:00 p.m. The inaugural arrival will receive a water cannon salute, with a special dedication of the aircraft to “The Spirit of Captain Eddie Rickenbacker," Eastern’s most famous CEO from 1930 to 1965 (and after whom the Rickenbacker Causeway is named) Eastern's 737 will do a flyby down the coast of Miami Beach, then at approx. 1500 do a 200' low flyby down runway 8L at MIA & go around Track the first Eastern Air Lines #737-800 N276EAL PSM-MIA today from 12-3:15pm. It is scheduled to arrive around 3:15pm on Runway 8R at MIA -- buff.ly/13Iivj3. They will be covering the Event Live at @airwaysnews on Twitter and on FB AirwaysNews. The story will run on AirwaysNews.com shortly after the event.

Nice! A 737-800!....last time I saw news from the new Eastern Airlines it said it was going to be Airbus aircraft and the proposed livery showed the line on a single blue tone.... well, seems they decided to go with the last known livery...looks nice indeed! Perhaps the next plane will be the chrome version ....or even better...think about a "retrojet" with the DC-7 scheme!

As luck would have it this flight was diverted to KPBI and arrived there at 1:49pm EST. Flight Aware did not say why yesterday. Hope it wasn't a mechanical or other problem.

Hi! That picture must be before the N276EA registration was assigned....so 5Y-KYB belongs to the former carrier "Kenya Airways" Boeing 737-8AL (SN 35070) Delivered: 28/11/2006 / Kenya Airways / 5Y-KYB / Stored 10/2014 Delivered: 19/12/2014 / Eastern Airlines / N276EA / Active
