Shalom and greetings all my pals,
Here is typical era year 1960 Prudhoe shuttle service from PANC Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport to PAFA Fairbanks International Airport to PASC Deadhorse Airport sometimes also called Prudhoe Airport located in Deadhorse on the North Slope of Alaska.
Cruising at FL150 via BGQ V438 GLOWS
Passing famed McKinney Mountains
Unless I am mistaken, it is Tanana river that the plane is passing
At 10,000 ft finishing crossing Denali park
At 5,000 ft getting closer to PAFA
On final approach to runway 02L
Nice wing view during final approach
Awesome view of winter trees
Seconds before touchdown
TOUCHDOWN
Braking down
Exiting from runway 02L into taxiway B to taxi to gate 8
Heading to gate 8 to drop off some passengers and picking up some passengers bound for Deadhorse
On climb to FL300 on way to PASC Deadhorse via DRRLL CQR J115 SCC
Still climbing to FL300 now at 10,000 ft
Nice view!!!
Cruising at FL300 to north
Cruising across frozen Alaskan land
Marveling at gorgeous Alaskan winter sky!!!
Sorry cannot resist amazing Alaskan sky view
On final approach to runway 23
TOUCHDOWN
Not easy to brake down on super icy runway at -32 degree temperature!!
Exiting from runway into taxiway toward gate
Thank you for viewing. Stay tuned for next exciting flight!!
Regards,
Aharon

It's funny You post this flight today...... I just got home from work, and guess what we were working on today? The Q400 that has been doing the run to Deadhorse. There has always been a bit of gravel problem there, and it takes a toll on landing gear, flaps etc. Having been there several times, there is not much to see, a couple pre-fab buildings, and a quonset hut. Nice pics though... It was a blast going there in the old 737-200 combi's - 37 seats in the back of the plane..
Take Care,
Stefan

Stefan,
Thanks for kind words. It amazes me and I am in awe that you work for Alaska Airlines!! Thanks for letting me know that Q400 is not suitable for Deadhorse flight operations.
Regards,
Aharon

Stefan, Thanks for kind words. It amazes me and I am in awe that you work for Alaska Airlines!! Thanks for letting me know that Q400 is not suitable for Deadhorse flight operations. Regards, Aharon Aharon: I work for Horizon which is pretty much the same as working for Alaska. The Q400 (Which is a Horizon bird.) is fine working into Deadhorse, it's just that the airport has some issues. If You have ever seen the 737-200's with a gravel kit, which was developed to combat what I am talking about. Every plane that flies into a airport that's kind of underdeveloped, gets some extra wear & tear. I like the 727 You used, but my favorite scheme on a Alaska 727 is the one with the Russian Domes. Take Care, & Keep-up the nice flights, "The other" Stefan
