Hello Simmers.
I'm familiar with the S.A. airports on this site. I'm curious if there are acceptable 50/60's alternatives to Rio and Buenos Aires on other sites? Rio was the jewel in the Pan Am Crown.
Thank you.

Once I installed "Wonderful Rio" and since use Santos Dumont Airport only. By deleting some files it looks quite acceptable and by far better and more accurate than with default terminal. It's in fact a FS2002/2004 scenery, and some modern signs and buildings remain at the backside of the terminal. However I don't use GaleĆ£o or other unsuitable parts of the package. Bernard

That's pretty acceptable.

Hi all, I have created a backdated version of the Wonderful Rio scenery, and thought others might be interested in it as well. Keep in mind this is an old FS2002 payware scenery, which appears to be abandoned. Thanks for the great idea, Bernard! A couple of pictures of my backdate: Not much change here, only the new AI parking and some classic ramp equipment. More changes here. The modern lettering/logos have been removed or replaced with classic examples, and more ramp equipment placed. I also removed most of the tallest skyscrapers (but Rio was already packed with medium height buildings) and a few modern features (bridges, etc.). Like Bernard, I do not use the modern Galeao, since that is completely different from the 1962 version. Hopefully the South America crew will get to that. You can download it here: www.calclassic.com/Temp/SBRJ_Wonderful_CC_1962.zip (273 KB) You will also need to download the original package using the link Bernard provided above (85 MB). Enjoy,

Was unable to download from Bernard's link. Must be doing something incorrectly, but can't see where.

Hi,
Alejandro, the author's web site is defunct, with no forwarding site.
John, what is the exact problem? What happens when you click on the Download link?

John, you have to try several times. I had some problems this evening too.
Tom, thanks for having improved the scenery. Hopefully I will find an idea again!

Hi Bernard When I open the page I open the download symbol which goes to the MediaFire page. But when I click the green download button on that page I finish up with a .rar file which I've not seen before and cannot open. Is this the correct place to download from?

Yes, that's the correct place. After download you open the rar file with an extracting tool. There are some as freeware on the web. Maybe you already have one for zip files which recognizes rar files as well.

I use 7-zip (free) to unpack RAR files.
