During several decades Paris Le Bourget (LFPB) was the base of the French "La Postale de Nuit", a self-contained division of the national carrier Air France. In 1962 every night of the working week thirteen DC-3 and two DC-4 flew mail to the most important towns in France, and from there to Paris. I created a traffic based on the 1962 network. Thanks to Gérard Benoît and Alejandro Ramirez to have made available their postal vehicles, used here at Le Bourget.

Do you know where they parked at Le Bourget? Did you edit the AFCAD to accommodate them?
Send it along and I'll add the traffic once the airport can hold them.

There's an Ai-Languedoc in the background?? It's JBK's flyable SE 161 Languedoc used as AI. Do you know where they parked at Le Bourget? Did you edit the AFCAD to accommodate them? I have several publications relating the history of "La Postale de Nuit". But none shows where exactly the aircraft were parked. Just one, probably taken some time in the Fifties, shows two DC-3 in front of the tower. But according to other pictures those parkings where used by regular traffic, especially by the upcoming jets. Therefore I thought the postal aircraft might be parked on the northern apron in front of the long building. I added there the parkings shown above. Departure times of my traffic are fictious as no timetable has been published or mentioned somewhere. All I know is that the aircraft took off at Le Bourget between 22:10 and 23:00 and returned between 02:15 and 04:25 local time. BTW, operations moved to Orly by the end of 1964, particulary because the main postal centres of Paris where in the south of the capital and because the main destinations where in Southern France. So Orly was nearer to them, than Le Bourget ... I added some parkings at Western side too, where was the former combined air force and naval air base of Dugny. I will send you the files in next days.
