CalClassic doesn't have any "standards", but we like things to look as nice as possible, of course. I have many airports around the world in the AI AFCAD pack that have no more changes than backdating the parking and taxi lines. So any further improvement is great. Finally Tom might be right. Everything what isn't default is still better and certainly more accurate anyway, even if it might not be perfect at one hundred percent. Hopefully it's nice at least! Therefore my package is now available here: www.mediafire.com/download/df3nqkd2zpzropy/West+and+Central+African+airfields+1962.rarMeanwhile I changed the year of the package as it is effectively based on CalClassic 1962 traffic. Although this change hasn't any great impact, I reworked the airfields with regard to that type of traffic and in a way to the geopolitical situation of that part of Africa, as all French speaking countries were independent at this time. If you will install this package, it is very important to follow install instructions, as some modifications have to be made allowing a correct use of the airfields and AI traffic. Bernard

Thanks. If there are airport changes and you decide to release this package to the web (so I can provide a link), I can change any airport codes in the main AI traffic download. But you shouldn't release it using edited default AP files. A much easier way to fix elevation changes is to place a copy of the airport's AFCAD file into the Scenery/World/scenery folder. Then you don't need to edit the default AP files (it does the same thing). BTW, this will then display any airport name changes in the main Goto Airport listing - a nice bonus.
Hope this helps,

Hi Bernard,
Thank you so much! That is absolutely amazing! I just downloaded the package and unzipped it. I install the scenery tomorrow as it is almost bedtime here. Can't wait to do a lot of dark Africa flying.
Cheers, Maarten

Thanks Tom, frankly I didn't knew that. I modified the uploaded files.
The package includes third party sceneries, and I agreed with the authors that the package will only be available for CalClassic users. Therefore it shouldn't be released on Flightsim or Avsim.

Did the download and have a .rar file. But I can't see how to install it. Must be something that I'm just not seeing. Any clues would be appreciated.

A rar file is just like a zip file in a different format. I use the free 7-Zip to open them.

Thank you very much for this complementary release ! Just a question: I have installed following the readme and I have modified the traffic bgl files as explained. But I don't see the static dc4 at DIAP. Is the traffic bgl for this static cargo included in the scenery folder ?
Cheers.

Yes, the traffic file is included in Scenery folder. It's named "traffic_Air_Afrique_Cargo_DIAP". There are three things needed:
- aidc4 Air Afrique Cargo (see aircraft folder) - AF2_1IAP (see Scenery Folder) - traffic_Air__Afrique_Cargo_DIAP (see Scenery folder as already said)
I added this cargo version to avoid having passenger stairs while the AI is in maintenance. It should look like this:
