Hi,
Daryn contacted me,and I thought I'd relay his message, in case anyone may know of someone interested. PM me for his email address:
Good day Mr Gibson
My name is Daryn and I work for a small aviation company in South Africa called Turbine Versions. I have been tasked with selling some aircraft engine and props and was wondering if you knew of any body who may be interested or if you could point me in a direction that could help.
The parts in question are namely four RDa6 Rolls Royce dart engines and 4 props that go with them.
The problems with the engines and props are as follows.
The engines were removed from a serviceable aircraft and were all serviceable at time of removal. They however do not have any logbooks and have been in storage for some time.
The props have unfortunately had one of the blades on each prop cut shorter to assist transportation at the time they were removed. They could be sold as four separate props or otherwise as three complete props depending if somebody needed the extra hub assembly. Again sadly there are no logbooks for these props.
The asking prices I have been given are US$ 12000.00 per engine and US$ 7500 per complete prop although these prices are highly negotiable
I am certain that somebody out there can make good use of these items.
Your assistance if possible in this would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Daryn van Tonder

Sounds like they are from one (or more?) of the former British Air Ferries Viscounts Series 800 that ended up in South Africa.
Cheers, Maarten
