Hello friends, Instead of posting every single thing I do in this forum, and having to limit what I post here to what is related to the classic topic, I have decided to open a website where ALL of my projects can be carefully watched and where status updates will be posted frequently. That way, if someone wants to see the latest news, make a post, comment on my blog, and see everything I'm doing, or learn more about me, they can all at one place. As my first post in my blog suggests, the website is not 100% done, most of the major elements are being worked on as I type this, but the website does work and you are free to browse around what is up. The Blog, the main pages, and the Contact and About pages are all up and running as of this post theflightsimulationist.weebly.com/Take a gander and let me know your thoughts on this Chris

Wonderful idea Chis. Have bookmarked it. My old mate Captain Chic Eather also uses Weebly.

Great Idea. I'm particularly interested in the "how it's done"
Thanks.

Wow, lots more support than I expected! Thanks everyone a lot of updates are coming to the site tonight so stay tuned. As for the how it's done section, I shall soon have the first tutorials posted, the first one is Part 1 of a three part series on how to go from first time Sketchup user to scenery designer. The first tutorial will cover basic skills in Sketchup and how to get started. Thanks everyone for the support

I like it. I couldn't access the content in the completed section - presume that is due to its WIP.
But I really like the flavor, the style, and the simplicity. Looking forward to it.

Hi DL, I finished the completed scenery section (mostly), give it a look The website is progressing nicely. Thank you for the kind words~ Chris Looks pretty righteous, Chris! Is there a way to scroll rather than click next page? That's about all I can say to suggest. Otherwise, it's awesome. I like the subtle humour, and your writing style is clever and sharp. Bravo. My pleasure. I read, as well as write and present a lot of technical material in my day job, so well executed written content is to my view, both a rare and desirable attribute. That someone your age possesses such skill is to be acknowledged and encouraged. You'll do well, and have every expectation we'll here the name Chris Helton in the context of interesting and valuable contributions to your chosen fields.
Good on you, young sir.
Daniel
ps - Washington is tagged as Newark.

Thank you very much for the kind words Daniel, they are very well appreciated... I found the Newark/Washington mix up right after my post a few nights ago, it is corrected now. Thanks for pointing it out The site has been updated again and the works in progress area is now mostly complete. Enjoy the goodies in that area Goodnight all, Chris
