Hi. Great scenery. However, a funny thing appeared on my approach to runway 14 at Medford. Does anyone else know about or has a fix for this abnormality? Thanks. Were you ever able to find out what is causing your terrain mesh problem and eliminate it?

Hi Mike,
I deleted the PACNW1960 folder and did a clean install and that solved the giant rock issue.

Hi,
Good to hear. I have done a couple of overwrite installs and they went OK, but I guess there can always be something hiding in there with such a massive upgrade.

Hi all, The scenery has now been released. It is available from my scenery page: www.calclassic.com/scenery.htmThe minor improvements over the beta version are: KSEA - ADE file update (better road alignment, etc.), extra light pole removed, excluded autogen buildings over approach lights KCOE - small AFCAD improvement (no gaps between runway and taxiway) Enjoy,

Downloaded - installed - admired. Thanks very much for another masterpiece we can all enjoy!
I noted that Setup creates AF2 entries for 11 airports in the scenery/world/scenery folder. These entries are also in the scenery folder of Pacific Northwest 1960. I think this could lead to unwanted results for someone wanting to deactivate PNW 1960 because this is likely to leave those airports in their 1960 status even when switching off the PNW 1960 layer.
Additionally, there is a 1kB version of AF2_KMFR_CA59.bgl that overwrites the previous 9kB version in CalClassic Core/scenery, but that is probably intentional (haven't checked what it changes).
Once again, thanks for all the great work.
Erik

Hi,
Yes, that is true. We should probably have mentioned that in the text file that those files should be removed if you want to remove your classic scenery.
My suggestion is that you create a separate Classic FS2004 installation and if you want to fly in the modern era install another copy of FS2004 for that purpose.
The AF2_KMFR_CA59.bgl file in the Core folder was causing problems, so we replaced it with a dummy file.
Thanks,

Thanks Tom, that all makes sense.
I have the well-known three FS9 installations (vintage GW - classic SW - modern) but I tend to do all my flying in the classic one since a few years, being both vintage and classic era. Reason for that is I find Golden Wings a bit too far off in colours, and giant trees everywhere, so I stick with SilverWings for all. The switching is really done by just managing scenery, that's why I try to keep track of what is where.
Having said that, I would obviously only switch off classic scenery for an area if I have vintage scenery and want to simulate that era. Otherwise it's there to stay!

Correction to self: vintage and classic age, or more precise 1930s vs. 1950s-1960s. As we all know by the teachings of FSAviator, the CONUS moved from the pioneer to the classic era. Just so before I get reprimanded. Erik

Until I saw this thread bumped up I had forgotten about this package which had been sitting in the drawer awaiting installation. Now in and works fine in FSX for me. Really nice work and again transforming the simulator experience.
