***UPDATE***
I unchecked the "Preview Direct X10" box in Options>>settings>>display>>graphics tab.
Cured both problems:)
Hey guys,
Followed the instructions best I could but I cant get the VC gauges to show up on CAl Classic DC-6 or 7 base backs in FSX.
The gauges show up fine on the 2D panel. Not sure what I'm missing.
Also, no skin shows up on the aircraft model, but I'm still working on this one.
Thanks
Oh and by the way, Thanks Cal Classics for all the great planes and stuff over the years. I have no idea why I never noticed you had your own forum. I would have joined years ago.

Can you describe exactly how you installed one of the base packs?

Hey Tom:
Pretty much as directed (LOL)
used the .exe file and directed it to FSX copied the folders from the "aircraft" folder and put then in the "simobjects/airplanes" folder "//" the one gauge line in the dc7pnlkmcc/dc6pnlkmcc files copied the .dll and .gau file to the gauges folder
I have SP2 with the Acceletation pack if that makes a difference.
Also I was a little unclear about this
"5. If you have already installed Mitch's DC-6 panel from AVSIM or elsewhere and have moved the dc6pnlKMCC folder in step 2 above, you may now have an EXTRA gauge CAB file in your main FS GAUGES folder that must be removed (I have provided it loose in a folder instead, to decrease panel load time). Find the Z_DC6KM.cab file and rename it to Z_DC6KM.cab.orig. Mitch's original panel may not be FSX compatible as is."
I didn't find any .cab file by that name, however I did find two folders in the gauges folder. They were added by the setup.exe, one is Z_DC6KM the other is Z_DC6KMTG

Hi,
If you make any errors in editing the panel, cfg file it's possible that all gauges after that may not load. Since the VC gauges are all listed at the end, that's a possibility.
If you don't find the CAB file, you don't need to do anything. Leave those two folders alone.
