I sure like how this project has come along. If you publish the next update, I'd appreciate a mention in the readme, if only for the weather radar (see item #4 of the VSWXR license). Thank you Bjoern for reminding me that I have accidentally enclosed your weather radar in the Cv-340 basepack and not having given the propper credit of you. Since I did not used it in my panel, but instead the CC weather radar (VSWXR is for FSX only), I have removed it from the current basepack. You assistance, given with the interior, is well documented in the readme right now. Cheers Bernie

Dankeschön!
The weather radar doesn't use any fancy FSX-only techniques, by the way. If one converts the XML tag schema from FS9 to FSX and checks all the A: for FS9 compatibility, it should work in FS9.
I've used some of the gauges from the CV-340 for modernizing the DC-3. Can I include them if I publish it?

Just an idea, a Convair exterior model with detailed cabin: Cheers Bernie

If you keep the freight guys in mind, why not. And note that some Convairs (at least some 580s) had an extra window aft of the small service doors near the tail.
I can supply you with some visibility XML code if you want to model different window (and cabin) configurations.

Hi buddy,I appreciate your offer. A cargo version, why not. But progress will be slow, since I'm busy with Train Simulator. Dankeschön! Yay, thanks!
Train Simulator...now that was a long time ago for me...back in the MSTS days.

Detailed cabin means it will be heavier on computer performance. Other than that, I agree with Bjoern in keeping the freight haulers among us in mind.

Yes, that's nice. But how are you going to do this type of freighter? Thanks,

Well, yes, a freighter like that, but most Convairliners converted to freight use had most of their windows plated over. Typically, the emergency exit windows were kept, all others removed.

I have taken this into account, the window "glass" can be painted individually.
But I have an other problem, because I count 8 windows on the left side of my fuselage.
Since most cargo Convairs have been former military I see only seven windows.
So what's wrong?
Cheers Bernie

I think the cargo door is a little too far aft. On the reference drawings and photos of the C-131B/F, it starts right above the end of the wing-body-fairing "lip". And it seems that the windows should be wider compared with reference photos and drawings, although it's kind of hard to tell from the screenshot angles.

Actually the passenger windows look just a tad too tall to me, not too narrow?

Thanks guys, at first I will move the cargo door, so it will line up with trailing edge of the wing root. Second, widen the windows a bit. Bjoern: Thanks for the doc's, very interresting reading! Cheers Bernie
