Has anyone been able to add oil to the DC-6? I keep trying the click spots but noting. Otherwise everything works great. Regards,

Do you have the engines stopped and the parking brake on?

Hi Tom, I just completed step 47 of your tutorial with the Convair 240 and I’m getting displaced trailing edge flaps and main landing gear wheels, with the struts not visible in sim. In model converter everything looks great and all animations are perfect. I have tried to import/export the model multiple times as per the tutorial but still no change. Any thoughts or suggestions?

You will probably have to find another way to Merge the props (that's the usual time when this happens). Setting CollapseNodes to FALSE sometimes helps when creating the isolated props and during the Merge process, sometimes it makes it worse. Sometimes isolating the props from the FS2004 model is best, other times from an FSX converted aircraft is better.
Keep monitoring your progress in FS and create multiple backup MDL files during this process. Then you can go back to the spot where the "break" occurs and not waste too much time.
Hope this helps,

Thanks for the tips! I guess I’ll keep workin through it. I can’t wait to get this great aircraft up and running in p3d.

Hi Tom, I am almost done with the Convair but I’m running into problems with the VC textures. Just like in the tutorial I had the $ panel textures. I got one to show up but the other will not load. I looked in the material editor and everything is the same between the two texture files. Any insight on this? Regards,

You got one to show up where? In MCX or FSX?
Make sure you have both of the day textures in the panel's folder. The night textures go into the livery folders.
Which MDL file are you converting?

Thanks for the reply, I got panel 1 textures to show up in MCX and FSX but panel 2 textures will not show up and In the event log at the bottom of MCX it informs me that those textures did not load. Regards,

PS. How did you manage to get MCX not to break the model?

Hi Tom, I am working on the CV-240. I solved my texture issue I think it was just a spelling error. The blanks that I’m worrying about seem to be gauges that aren’t appearing. In fact I have zero gauges. Other than that I took it for a spin using the 2d panel and it is fantastic! Regards,

The gauges in the VC for the most part are listed in the panel.cfg file at the bottom. Only a few are built into the model. Which gauges seem to be missing?

I have absolutely zero gauges in the VC. Other than that all the textures and everything look perfect. I looked at the dc-6b files you did and mine seem to mirror it. Regards,
