Some time ago, I discovered a Russian vintage scenery site for FS2004. It had plans & scenery, & I just cannot remember how & where I found it.
If I recall, it was in Russian as well.
Any ideas?
Tom, maybe you have an idea?
Regards, Robin

Obvisouly not. You might use Google translator. As example, for the first scenery proposed on the scenery website rusaviagold.narod.ru/scenery.htm it would show following translation:
translated in English:
The Volga is the mother of cities in Russia. Great river. A lot of the meals that were given to her. But apart from the beauty of nature there are also handicraft creations. Take the route developed by A. Belov and see a lot of interesting. For example, the Kalyazin bell tower is on the island ... however, download and admire. Only there is no need to fly there on the Tu-134 or 154-ke - why break the separation scheme? ... The archive contains a scenario and a flight map, using which you can fly along the route of the first reportage, see the sights and reprimand the author (reportage) for the lack of photo shift.
I doubt, that the majority of Russian authors would finally phrase better translations of theirs descriptions. Most scenery and aircraft files are self explanatory anyway, as they have been created according to MSFS standards. That's also the case for most files offered at avsimrus.com.

I'm using Edge as my browser with a translation add-in, & it works well. I'm sure any other browser also should have a translation add-in.
& I get this: Волга - мать городоврусских. Великая река. Множествоэпитетов, которые были даны ей. Но кромекрасот природы есть и творения рукчеловеческих. Volga-the mother of Russian cities. The great river. Many epithets that were given to her. But apart from natural beauties there are creations of human hands. Follow route developed by a. Belov and see many interesting things. For example, the kaljazinskuju Bell Tower on the island. However, download and enjoy. Just not worth it to fly back on Tu-134 or 154-Ke-why do violate the separation schema? ... The archive contains script and flight map, using which you can fly along the route of the first report, see the sights and criticize the author (of the report) for the lack of photos from the field.

What years of the USSR airports are you interested in? There are some airports that are not publicly available.

Those airports of the times of the USSR, which I know, belong to the period of the 70-80s.

There are some airports that are not publicly available. Is there any way to have access to those sceneries? They could be real suitable alternatives to default one.

In the scenery library CalClassic is Moscow Sheremetyevo 1963 (UUEE).

Thanks for your advice. I have installed this scenery, as well as the other Moscow airports done by Michael Schneider. They are publically available. I tought you perhaps might have "under-the-table" connections to unpublished sceneries traded privately!

If you are interested in the airports of the USSR of the 70th, I can ask where they can be downloaded.

That would be fine. Every retro airport is still better than a default one. Sceneries of Russian Air Force bases have at least the advantage that didn't changed very much since Soviet era and still look rather rugged.
