Aaronav8r's work on cal classic airports for Hobart, Adelaide, Eagle Farm Brisbane and Perth, spurred me to on to finish off some paints of the JBK Viscounts. I will upload them if anybody is interested. They are not perfect but do the job. TAA 700 Series Ansett 700 Series RAAF 800 Series

Jackylon not sure yet. I tend to use SimOutHouse because they are more old aircraft orientated and they do not insist on zip files but are happy to have tar and rar formats. I use rar but it works the same as zip. Just making a few adjustments to the panel and just finished some minor corrections on the paints. They are all for the JBK Vickers Viscount (FSX version) and will include:
700 Series: Ansett and TAA Liveries 800 Series: Ansett, TAA and RAAF Liveries.
The panels are the same for both. I have made some adjustments to the night lighting. A softer white but I am not sure about that because the original aircraft only had red cockpit lighting (I do not use it because it is too hard on my eyes these days). I will probably give people the option of both it will be in an effects file that goes with the upload.
There are two sound files, one is the original by JBK which is not bad the other derives from the defunct AFG groups Dart engine sounds which I think are more accurate as well, up to the user their choice which they like.
The aircraft now has a dual ADF set up via the OHead radios and one VOR/ILS only but dual selectors. The RMI is a dual ADF/NDB only. There are working generators with warning failure indicators and deice (engine and pitot, a master warning and caution light system, all engine fire, feathering and fuel controls work. There is also an inverter failure warning light. The fuel tanks gauges are now for 4 tanks plus a total gauge and there are hydraulic and brake pressure gauges as well. There is also a Cabin Pressure/Altitude selector on the overhead panel with a cabin press reader gauge as well. Pressurisation is automatic. I tried to get an autofeather system installed but could not make it work. There is no reverse because the Viscounts never had reversable props but went into ground fine on landing which sort of did the same thing. Even though there are some switches that function by clicking they do nothing and are either not modelled or catered for in the original air file, such as the taxy lights which were not set when the model was made by JBK. The landing lights do extend and work though.
I did include the clickable cockpit sound gauge but it wants to only function intermittently same with the altitude callout gauge. I changed the GPS to a more effective one that is about on the net as freeware and have incorporated weather radar as a pop up but folks need the Captain Sim Weather Rader addon to make it work, does not matter if you don't nothing is missing on the panel. I tried placing the radar in the cockpit but the modelling of the VC prevented that. Same with the autopilot I found a great version of the original Smiths ST-2 autopilot but could not get it to replace the one JBK fitted as the switches and levers on the center pedestal are modelled not add on gauges so you cannot change them or remove them either, but they work fine anyway and the autopilot is simple but good. It does hunt a bit on selection but so did the original Viscounts autopilot.
I will also put a more comprehensive flight manual to Jens with real life graphs for speeds fuel etc from the original viscounts. Basically this Viscount by JBK is a mild mannered well behaved aeroplane just like the original one and it even has the heavy control feel that the original aeroplane had.
Bit of tidying up to do probably upload it and give the link here or to Tom to include on the Planes page later in the week.
I have also included some alternative passenger views left and right with some window frames that can be selected if folks want that sort of perspective.
The panel is pretty close to the Australian one in the Queensland museum and apart from the glare shields they remained fairly constant through the various types over the years as far as I can tell.
Oh yes the original aircraft looked like this inside with lots of coloured lights etc all over one Viscount pilot described it as a bit like an elephant had gone nuts in the lolly shop.
