Tom, I have all the new files. It was very easy with the included installers. Thank you for all your and Mike's work and continued support.

I tried 3 times to download file #9 and they all come up as invalid? only one I had trouble with. any ideas? File ai2k4T.zip also gives me an error when trying to unzip and again when trying to run the setup. The earlier update worked fine when downloaded and run on 26 June but presumably this was before the new Viscount fix. Chris

Hi,
Yeah, a truncated version was uploaded for some reason. Should be fixed now.
Hope this helps,

All downloaded and installed with no issues at all. Thanks to all involved, big job I know. Much appreciated. I wait to be surprised here there and everywhere as we trip about the world.

I don't think any of these were in the AI update but well what a sight at Essendon on a fine friday morning about 11 oclock. It is all AI bar one, I was checking out a repaint. Cannot say thanks enough for what it has done to get that Cal Classic period feel. Now if I could only find a way to replace the FSX tugs and carts with classic versions that moved about the same way! The fuel truck has been changed only so far.

I proved it can be done with the fuel truck, but no one offered any help so that project ended.

Tom yes it is complex because of MS living world architecture, you have to have a model then get into the LWcfg file so it can be found and read when the sim runs. which is the random generator that makes it happens. I did find some stuff done at the Russian Sim site where they had done all the airport ground vehicle models based on Russian equipment and modified the LWcfg file for them to show and work but only in their area nowhere else. I have managed to change a few textures here and there but other than what has been added to an addon scenery file that is about it. I looked at the issue of substituting some of the Russian stuff (its not bad at all actually) but you have to go command line to get the binary decompiler then into xml and back again. At the moment way too much work.
Sorry to hear about the fuel truck. I am still looking at this recompile business to see if it can be done a bit less painlessly, not that I mind going command line but as you know on space or such too many and it all falls over.

Thanks Bjoern. I noted with the Russian work they had redone all the ground vehicles to local types for their areas and there were about 12 or so complete new models which they then incorporated into the LWcfg with a specific entry change to that file but only for area M. So it is out there. I will carefully study those references, thank you.
