Anybody know where i can find a clean image of the western airlines old script logo?
Preference is to find the actual Font, or a clean side image that I can use to recreate it. I have googled it a ton and cant find it.
Thanks Eric

Western always used light or medium cream color, not white for liveries.

I've got Serling's "The Only Way To Fly" at home and can check for any usable photos in there on the weekend.

When I was 9 years old, I had a gate attendant take me down on the ramp at the Western terminal of LAX and take me through a DC-6 and an Electra. What a thrill! It was at night, so I can't remember exactly what color the upper fuselages were. I later flew on a Western B-720B from Seattle to SFO, and I'm pretty sure that the upper fuselage was more of a cream color-not a heavy cream but definitely not full on white. I'm guessing that if that was the case, then those planes flying with the jet delivery paint scheme were painted similarly. I am sure though that one of the last schemes (Note the DC-10's) was with a definite white fuselage.

Was unable to open the above mentioned link. Said "Access Denied" and something about hotlinking, whatever that is. Has anyone else had that problem?

Some may have been cream (or it might have been the type of film used), but some were white: Yes Western used light or medium cream color for Indian chief liveries for few years and also used white color for Indian chief liveries for few years. Nothing to do with type of photography or film especially when you can see light or medium cream color Western plane in precisely same photos that show white liveries of other airlines' planes parked next to light or medium cream color Western planes. For example, look again at the Western Electra photo above where you can see light or medium cream color Western livery and compare that color to the white color of the shirt of the ground crew member standing attentively. That is precisely why it is holy grail for me to find crisp sharp and high quality light or medium cream color Western Indian chief liveries for freeware TinMouse 737-200s, freeware HJG 707s, freeware Vistaliners 727s, and freeware KBT Electras because everybody always paint WHITE Indian chief Western liveries for those planes. There is one light or medium cream color Western Indian chief livery for payware Captain Sims 707 but I am not paying big bucks to buy Captain Sims 707 in order to get light or medium cream color Western Indian chief livery. Regards, Aharon
