Set out in the DC-3 (C-47) from Gulf International to Teheran. Bit of cumulus on departure but had to step climb to get to 14,000ft to clear the mountains before the plains into Teheran (Elevation 3962 ft). Went from a bit of cumulus, to buildups to clearing skies with a heavy haze then solid on top before the descent into Teheran. Engine temperatures meant constant levelling off, open the cowls, cool them down, build up some speed then another couple of thousand feet more, a heavily loaded DC-3 is no sparkling climber at high altitudes but still gets there. A classic view of the Douglas Climbing climbing climbing

On descent into Teheran. Morning work over, on the ramp with company. Nice bit of AI (Toms work I think). Four and half hours flying for that one. Interesting countryside, mountain ranges are a lot higher than you think. And that is the only glitch I get from 2004 scenery in FSX the trees are done differently in FSX but it depends on the angle.

Nice. I think Mike might have painted that, but that was too long ago. I reworked Jake’s DC-3 to use our textures, though.
