Hi as the title says I got last week a used Dell PRECISION Tower 7810 with an NVidia GTX 1060, Upon adding The Starliner I couldn't see the VC in the VC model or had any outside views.
DX Diag. says I have DX12 in the system, so I wonder what could be wrong that I don't get it to display correctly. I can't find the DX box ?
Any advice is appreciated.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for your reply have checked through the Graphics menus in FSX an d the preview box isn't there ? I've compared this to wheree it's found in Windows7, (NADA) Sop I decided to make anothedr search in the Internet, there I found an a thread in Flightsim.com where rthey talk about the entry D3D10=1 being present in the FSX.cfg I don't have that entry.
They did install an NVidia GTX 1060 in the computer to replace the small Card that was originaly installed. This Card is DX12

Also, try installing DirectX 9; most computer builders don't install it into Windows 10. DirectX 12 is not enough. Apparently the old DirectX 9c installer won't work (wrong OS version error), but this one has worked for several Win10 users: www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109Hope this helps,

No I don't have the DX10 preview Box.
I downloaded the Run Time and .exe. The Run Time dissapeared when I clicked it and the .exe asked me for a location where to install. I chose desktop...ALAS! all the cab files that were included in the file installed filling the desktop completely; Now you know I'm no computer expert. I began line by line to delete all the .cab files until I emptied the desktop, then I emptied the recycling bin.
So I've got no further that when I first posted.I'm going to need help by the numbers.

1. Create a Temp folder on your Desktop (right click, New/Folder, name it Temp). 2. Double click the EXE file, and point it to your new Temp folder. 3. Double click the DXSETUP.exe file inside the Temp folder to begin the installation.

As I remember it doesn’t ask for an install location.

Will report Tom; Bernardo 7-8-19 I decided to experiment and install another of my FSX favorites, Milton Shupe's Dash-7; Again I took it from my saved addons, which I save in an external HD and Memory sticks, copy them to my desktop and from there into simobjects/Airplanes in FSX. The L1649 still gives me the same results, No VC or outside views, only the NAV and Beacon lights show... The Dash 7 copied well all works, though this plane was originaly make for FS2002, not that it could have anything to do with it.I tried to compare .cfgs' didn't get any wiser. berlopez
