Leonardo Santos just released a scenery of Pitcairn Islands archipelago at FlightSim. I added fictious flights of a Short Sandringham RAI from Papeete to Adamstown and the other island and atolls like Handerson, Ducie and Oeno. The Short Sandringham approaching here Pitcairn Island ... mooring at Adamstown … and approaching Ducie Atoll . Bernard

Impressive!!!!! Be sure you do not have mutiny on your plane or otherwise you would be stuck at that Patrican island!

I worked Tom Christian (SK) a long time ago. He was the main amateur radio operator on Pitcairn for many years and he was a descendant of Fletcher Christian of the Bounty. I wonder if a seaplane ever did land offshore there. Unlike the FS scenery representation the island itself is too rocky and completely unsuitable for a landing strip. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_x2d_sJUAic

Dave, thanks for your informations. You are certainly right, that probably no seaplane ever landed in the sea off Pitcarin Island. It's was a pure fictious assumption of mine. Nevertheless there is a small port at Adamstown accessible by smaller boats ferrying also cruise passengers to the island. So the sea could be calm as well. But I modified the flightplans to simple T/G's while initally taking off at nearby Totegegie Island.
