On some aircraft, I have noticed, that it takes a heavy hand on the throttle to get the thing rolling, on others you barely nudge the lever and its speeding along at a good clip...
I am sure the setting(s) for it are in the aircraft.cfg file, but under what heading? Contact points? Like the tires are not inflated properly of something. Also, when I use differential braking, those sluggish aircraft come to a complete stop with very little braking action, and it takes nearly full throttle to get them to turn even without touching the brakes, and they swing wide when they do turn (talking tail draggers on that). I hope its not in the engine data section, I do not wish to upset its performance once I get airborne...

Hi,
I don't know of an easy way to change this behavior, I assume it is indeed in the engine data sections.

This is a bug regarding tire friction in the MS Flight Sim series. If you reduce tire friction sufficiently to create accurate ground handling, you will end up with an aircraft that slides uncontrollably when it is on icy, and possibly just wet, pavement. There was a long thread about this on Avsim some time ago. I think there was a workaround created, but if I recall correctly, it required the payware version of FSUIPC.

Yup, there's a workaround, but it's FSX/P3D only (and enabled by default in FSUIPC4, IIRC).

The two most "sluggardly" things in this world are: an old roommate I used to have 20 years ago when it was his time to pay his share of the utility bills, and the FS2004 Stratocruiser when it is fully loaded to max takeoff weight.
