Looking for such a panel for fsx, for the C-97, not the B377. I have seen a few VC panels for the payware stuff, but I downloaded the C-97 from sim outhouse, but it does not have a 2D panel (and I do not use the VC in anything, I'm too old school). If anyone knows where I can find such a thing, please point me in the right direction, I am at wit's end.... Unless, of course, they are one and the same, but I still need one for FSX

Try Calclassic/Greg Pepper's B377 base pack 2D panel? Comparing notes with the 'Monitor' panel maybe you can get it to work in the FSX C-97. Must admit that we dumped all that 2D stuff when we moved over to FSX, sorry!

Beeker46,
I understand your need for 2D panel. I love 2D panels but world famous Jahn's two models C-97 and C-47 have FANTASTIC monitor panel that is GREAT substitution for 2D panel and you can EITHER have BOTH monitor panel and VC panel at same time or juggle between them.
I always prefer 2D panels but Jahn was very clever to create amazing monitor panel with lots of clickable functions that make up for lack of 2D panel. Try it once and you will be amazed. Even the monitor panel will warn you in red letters if you are overheating engines or doing something wrong!

Aharon

alright, I will give this 'monitor' panel a try...just point me in the right direction to get it...
Thanks
Edit: Okay, if it is the little gauge thing with the C-97 that I recently downloaded, then I will have to pass on it. This 'old dog' also has not so good eyesight, and those little boxes are too small for me to see without excessive squinting, even with my reading glasses on. I like the 2D panels not just for the functionality of it all, nor is it just something that I prefer because its what I have always used, but a well designed 2D panel also gives that 'ambience and feeling of sitting in the cockpit, with everything in view on one screen, and not having to pan around..

Okay, if it is the little gauge thing with the C-97 that I recently downloaded, then I will have to pass on it. This 'old dog' also has not so good eyesight, and those little boxes are too small for me to see without excessive squinting, even with my reading glasses on. I think the boxes are resizable meaning you can click on one edge of windows of boxes and drag it to expand the boxes to make them bigger and more readable. That is what I do to GPS and two monitor panels in Jahn's C-97 and C-47. I do not know why you call it little gauge thing. It is called monitor panel (actually one is called control panel that show engine conditions or readings, and the other one is called monitor panel which you can set altitude, open doors, set headings, etc).
