I gave the SE-161 a try the other day, even made a nice new livery for it, but it start violently shaking at speed, not overspeed, but already at cruising speed. Under AP control it also descends and climbs a few hundred feet for the entire way. Is anyone familiar with a patch or perhaps an adjustment in the CFG file to at least fix the vibration? I've tried swapping out parts of the cfg file with that of similar planes, but haven't found a fix yet. Thanks.

Shaking can often be the MOI values in the Weight and Balance section. Check similar planes and see if they are comparable in values.

Hi!
I had this issue too - this aircraft was jumped and shaked in the air like a mad. It was fixed by replacing original MOI lines in the [WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE] section by the following lines:
empty_weight_pitch_MOI = 355403 empty_weight_roll_MOI = 225685 empty_weight_yaw_MOI = 456826 empty_weight_coupled_MOI= 0.000
Try it, and of course don't forget to backup your .cfg file at first.
Regards, Dan

I also had the same problem and had to give up trying to fly it. Will give the above suggestion a try and keep the fingers crossed.

Well, that certainly did the trick. Altered the 'Weight and Balance' numbers to the above and the aircraft flies and handles beautifully. Thankyou Dan. I would never have nutted that out.
The Languedoc is another aircraft that I have always liked. Such a shame that its development and introduction was interrupted by the war. I believe Aviaco in Spain were still using them up to about 1961 or 62.

John, it,s easy to fix MOI values for any aircraft by using Moment Of Intertia Calculator which I had found at the flightsim.com. In the file library it can be found by the file name:
moi_calculation_spreadsheet.zip

Hi Dan Thankyou for the advice. The Languedoc is the only aircraft, so far, where this problem has occurred. But if I do come across it again at least I'll know where to find a solution.
This Forum is just so good.
