Roger Wensley released some days ago his scenery of Sydney Airport CYQY at Nova Scotia. This airport was an important stopover during and after World War II for North Atlantic flights. It often have used as alternate airport for Gander. I adapted the scenery to get it more suitable with classic era. Curiously it cames with separate winter and summer textures. Something one needs to get used to. Bernard

No paved tarmac even in the 1950s?

Flight Global mentions BOAC Stratocruisers refuelling there in 1955.

No paved tarmac even in the 1950s? In order to create vintage ADE, I actually switch between classic FS9 and Golden Wings and didn't activate the correct texture folder, sorry. Anyway, it just was thought as advice, and anyone can customize it however they want. Bernard

Hi Aahron,
The scenery has been done by Roger Wensley, and primarly for use with FS9.

Have installed this scenery which as is fits in pretty nicely with the Classic era. Was wondering about the Winter and Summer scenery files. Why are there two separate files for this? Does the Winter one dump more snow on the airport?

Finally no reason to worry about. It will be winter without changing textures. Bernard
