Well, Microsoft has announced the release date for MS Flight 2020 and it's August 18th. It gets a bit pricey for the super deluxe edition (USD 119.99) but it can be pre-ordered now. I'm more than content to continue flying the classics in FS2004 and FSX and would be very surprised to see any of the planes and scenery we so love in the classic era appear in this new edition any time soon, if ever. That having been said, I did go ahead and pre-order it. The screen shots of the scenery and weather alone hooked me quite some time back. I'm curious to know if anyone else has thought about getting it.
Regards, Phil

For FS2020, not preorder, but for buy it after 18 august, it's depends, if the SDK is open as for (FS91/FSX/P3D), if it is not, i probably not buy FS2020. If SDK exist, and is available, for Blender and ModelConverterX, i surely convert my vintage scenerys for P3D to FS2020. (so i can use it), and i will share here, with people interested.

I'm not think that need a more powerfull computer than P3D4/P3D5 or XP11. Seems a revolutionary FS in a lot of ways, is something new at last, a real "new" flight simulator, not a fake (as Dovetail projects, or Flight...), but as freeware developer, I hope they will release the SDK for "not payware developers" because, if not, i will really dissapointed. To be honest, i will probably not buy it before end of this year, i prefer let some months gone, and first patchs, arrives... And with the four FS i got and use often: FS91, IL2NG, DCS 2.5 and P3DV45 Well... i can wait for FS2020, i'm not desesperated to buy it.

Guys, there is no such thing as FS2020.. There will be 3 differents versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS), Standard, Deluxe & Premium. Try npt to get confused, to confuse .. No idea where this 2020 came from, You might as well call it FSAugust!

Some people have been calling it MSFS2020 in order to avoid confusion with their FS9 and FSX forums. I will have to buy or build a new computer, but mine is now beyond 10 years in age and is well past due for replacement.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I've read that not only will there be an SDK for it, but it's already been released to over 120 developers. Don't know who was determined to be a developer though. The article mentioned that this was the first time an SDK for the simulator had been released prior to it (the simulator, that is) and conjecture is that it will soon be available to anyone who wants it.

Yes, exactly is for that Microsoft Flight Simulator is the name for FS95, FS98 FS2000 FS2002 FS2004 FSX FSX-STEAM also this one is Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 if not when you say "my scenery for flight simulator" (which one?) is like "is for XP", is not the same it is for XP9 or XP10 or XP11

But, probably the will release it for the others also, i need to check on fsdeveloper forum is there is some news about it i heard also that source code, was released for the SDK, for the moment it's only for 3DSMAX but hopefully someone will make the Blender Plugin

So is anybody here flying MSFS2020? Do we call it FS11? Seems to be heavily optimized for VFR single engine piston flying. ATC doesn't look as good. I'm incredibly disappointed that the FSX Learning Center got cut, and there are no liveries for the airplanes. But the clouds look fantastic.
I personally don't use it as the latest DCS map is already pushing my system to the limits, and those graphics card prices are steep! I'll also be waiting a little longer. I wouldn't mind seeing a version of the Douglas and Lockheed propliners in that nice hanger view (which I guess is a replacement for the external model preview of FSX/FS9).
Is anybody using it? Thoughts?

For those of you who want to check it out but not commit to purchasing it, you can get it through XBox Live for $1.00 (Plus Tax) for 30 days. Link (You MUST have Windows 10) This is both a good way to check it out and to see if your computer will run it. Just remember to cancel your subscription before 30 days is up or you will be billed a $4.99 (Plus tax) subscription fee each month. The Dawson brothers are also offering FSUIPC7 free until October: Link. This offer has expired

You also need a DX12 capable video card, in case you want to try it. I don’t have either requirement in my gaming computer, so I’ll be sitting this one out.
