Recently I came across the 368 (!) Ford Tri-Motor repaints done by Edward C. Moore et available as package on Ford-Tri-Motor website. Installing them correctly them in the system is one thing, how to using such a hugh amount of repaints is an other. So first I created an AI aircraft.txt file und placed the aircraft at Mojave airstrip, my favorite test location. Here just e few of them, but all 368 should be there (I didn't checked ...). Now, how going on? In a way it would be a pitty not populate specifically the world's airfields with vintage aircraft where they should be. At least it certainly it's more suitable than having some DC-3 Delta or Eastern as they are generated with default GW3 AI traffic. For the begiinning I thought to use flightplans sorted by countries and limited to their respective main arport. Not very easy, as I removed all default airports and should therefore create simple airstrips for most desitnations first! Well, lets see. Bernard

Bernard, The work of Ed Moore and the late Gary J. Smith (Texas and Australia, respectively) was the insparation behind my Platinum Wings Project so long ago. That's why I wanted to retro everything once again with all the more "modern" enviromental and scenery creation methods that exist now which can make the work smoother. Unlike GW3 that is all texture based, I wanted to do something that was based on actually removing the airfields and navaids and then replacing them with generic airfields and specific naviads, using specific airfield layouts where possible based on old maps. Glad I'm not the only one with a love of these things! Jorge Miami, FL

I have a separate FS2004 install of Garry & Ed's Ford Tri-Motor Project, with all the sceneries, planes, textures & projects & I was a beta tester for Garry for a unreleased Death Star Project. I wonder if I may release it?
