Greetings!
This is my first time posting in this forum, so I would like to apologize if this is not compliant with the forum's rules.
I have joined my Japanese partner Saba730 lately to develop a NAMC YS-11 addon for X-Plane 11 (it will be a freeware as we aim to preserve this aircraft with historical significance - the first commercial airliner designed and manufactured by Japan post WWII - in the digital format). We plan to implement detailed system simulation based strictly on the manuals, high definition exterior model complete with PBR textures, and detailed 3D/2D cockpit. We have sourced the Japanese version of the maintenance manual and have invited a real world YS-11 pilot to test the flight characteristics. The progress has been great, and the flight characteristics have become very close to the real thing according to the YS pilot.
However, due to the YS being a rare type, we aren't able to source the flight manual yet (and have to rely on the inputs of the pilot to tweak the flight characteristics). We have also planned to replicate the Piedmont version for the US classic airliner fans, but we have not been able to source any information on the Piedmont variant (aside from the basic specs of the APU). I have seen some conversation in the past on this forum regarding the YS, and I wonder whether any of you have information or know anyone with experience with the YS-11 (especially the Piedmont version).
Thank you very much for your generous assistance!
Sincerely,
Cirque

Cirque,
Welcome to Calclassics forums!! Why dont you contact Allied FS Group - AFG who makes freeware FS2004 and FSX versions of YS-11 and ask them for assistance in making your own YS-11 for use of XP-11?
Regards,
Aharon

Thank you very much for the advice. I'm not sure whether they are still active, but I will try contacting them.
I doubt, however, that they have information regarding the Piedmont version though. I will have to dig deeper.

Also go to Facebook and join Piedmont group where retired pilots and stewardresses are there. You can ask them if they still have YS-11 operating manual Regards, Aharon
