Release is now imminent. Al has worked his magic once again. Eisenhower's Columbine III. A photograph in John Hewson's Dhahran album shows her presence there, probably after passing through Port Lyautey. Al's flight plans include such a flight, starting from KADW Andrews AFB on Sunday and flying the entire route to Dhahran and back over the week. You can find her at GMMV at 11:10 on Monday or slightly before if you want to see her come in. FS9 scenery for Dhahran c.1955 is in preparation. French Avro Lancasters in the area near Runway 03. Hangar especially created for this scenery by Dan French. The main apron with a Warning Star of VW-1. And many other period aircraft.

Thamk you gentlemen. For those who have Ultimate Terrain Europe I have added ships and cranes in the Sebou river. For others there are also three ships off the coast, including a large French liner more or less in line with R07. Thanks, as always, to Mike for the ships

Have just installed and had a good fly around the scenery. What a fabulous creation and very welcome addition to the non US and Europe Classic scenery library.
Just one question. I have installed the Dave French Hangars folder as recommended in the Read Me. I have placed the folder at the very end of my Scenery Library list with the other Scenery Objects folder. Is this the correct place for it or should it be further up the the Port Lyautey scenery?
Thanks John

That should be ok, John. I have it along with my other scenery objects too. It is the Avro Lancaster hangar and providing you can see it that is fine, Ken

Hi Ken Yes the Lancaster hangar is showing perfectly. The French Lancasters look great.
Just realised my last post should have read "up near the Port Lyautey Scenery".

Actuality the French Hanger is in th Port Lyautey scenery since it is a unique Hangar but some of the of the other Hangars are in MAIW and Dan French object folders..

Hi all, just installed this and it looks amazing! However no river as mentioned above. I have Alexander Belov's scenery of Port Lyautey installed on my GW version. A couple of tents, trucks, and camels. Nice contrast. Great job all. Allen

Hi Ken, Many thanks for this awesome scenery. It's a further commitment to FS9! For incomprehensible reasons I get a texuter isse with the "AI Lockheed MJ C121C USAF-4173B" included in your package and used with the scheduled AI traffic. The aircraft is shown untextured. I checked the entries in "aircraft.cfg", and everything is correct. Could eventually the textures files not be compatible? By the way the following entry has to be modified: [fltsim.9] title=AI Lockheed MJ C121C USAF-4173B => should probably be "USAF-4194B"sim=Boeing737-400 model=MJ panel= sound= texture=USAF-4194 checklists= escription=AI HI Def version of Locheed 1049H for AI use Copyed from the ai1049file and setup as a seperate file for the C121C. Delivered to MATS Atlantic, 76th Tranport Squadron, 2/10/56 ui_manufacturer=AI Military ui_type=C-121C ui_variation=C121C USAF-4173B atc_heavy=0 atc_id=4173 atc_airline=Air Force atc_flight_number=482 atc_parking_types=MIL_CARGO,GATE atc_parking_codes=MATS visual_damage=0 prop_anim_ratio=0.9 description=Ken Lawson Repaint. But this modification has no impact for the missing texture. Thanks for any advice for resolving the problem. Bernard

The texture folder should be texture.USAF-4194. Is there a similarly named texture folder you can assign instead? Since the title= line was wrong, the plane never showed up for the author anyway.

Sorry. On the road right now so can’t look at it but will if I get a chance tomorrow. I didn’t have any issues on my system so I will compare it to what you show above.

Hi Bernard, made it back to home base and able to get on my computer and do a little testing. Mine works fine and you do not need to make any changes to the Aircraft.cfg file, it should work as it is. The fact that it calls a different Texture file than the title doesn't really matter as along as you have the texture file being called. You could change the texture to point at any of the C-121C textures in that file depending on what you prefer. The one we chose was random out of the several repaints provided by Ken in the Scenery package. I tested the download on my system. I removed my ai1049 - C121C and copied in the one from the scenery I just downloaded from AVSIM. everything worked. I then copied in the traffic bgl from the download and everything still worked. Only four of the C-121C are used and they all appear correctly.
My suggestion is to delete the ai1049 - C-121C folder from your Aircraft folder and then copy in the aircraft folder from your downloaded scenery package. I'm guessing something happened in your original copy procedure that left something uncopied. Also the text files for the traffic file are included so you can see what is used. If this still does not solve your problem let me know, I will be glad to investigate this further.
For those of you who are interested there is an Easter Egg of sorts in the traffic file. If you look at the aircraft text file in the Traffic folder of the download and look at the last aircraft listed AC#50,195,"UF-1 Albatross USN Rescue 1961", if you happen to have it or want to find it on Flightsim.com. Sorry I can't remember which file it was that contained this particular repaint but it did have Midway painted on the tail. I put this in just prior to our releasing the scenery but since this is a flyable aircraft used as ai, it doesn't perform great on landings as an ai aircraft therefor Ken Lawson and I decided to leave it out of the aircraft folder. It looks great sitting in front of the USN Hangar and matches pictures found in JWH's album on Port Lyautey, which was indispensable in putting this scenery together, Thanks John.
