Beautiful video! Reminds me of flying On a NWA 720B from PDX to ORD July 1963. Passed a UAL DC-8 2000 ft below that had departed PDX 30 minutes before our flight.

The UAL DC-8 might have also been heavy, and the 720B light. But the fan engines really increased the utility of the early jets. I don't know why UAL didn't retrofit their jets, but I don't know of a major DC-8 operator that did.

In 1997 I had almost the same thing happen. PDX to ORD NWA & American, both Mad Dogs. I was in the American, and the delayed NWA you could see back and to the right, almost the whole trip. Stefan
