Have found SOH have some new RAF Bases scenery which fir into the CalClassic era.
I downloaded two,Sculthorpe and Finningley both from around 1960. As far as I can see I have done everything correctly, just as I have done with all previous scenery installations but the two items do not appear in the United Kingdom airport listing, and i haven't been able to locate them anywhere else.
I have installed a few of their older creations and they uploaded perfectly. Has me mystified as to why these two sceneries will not install.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks John

Sculthorpe seems to be a perfectly standard installation. Have you tried the ICAO code EGUP?

Hi, i do lurk here occasionally, RAF Finningley is now Doncaster Sheffield, so i used its ICAO, EGCN. Glad your enjoying the scenery

Thank you Ian, I found Finningley with all of its Vulcans. I did do an initial search under EGUP for Sculthorpe but cannot find any trace of the scenery. Will try a fresh installation and see how that goes.
I did install their mid 60s Leconfield scenery but found what I think is an elevation problem. The Lightnings were sitting about a foot or so above the tarmac and when you taxied off the apron did a jump or a drop. It may well be something on my system that is causing a clash perhaps something from an earlier Leconfield scenery which I did disable. Again, any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks John

Hi, Sculthorpe ICAO is EGS2, i had to change it as i have a version of Upwood by Brian Clark with the same code. As for Leconfield, look in Addon scenery/scenery or Scenery/ World/ Scenery for any bgl relating to another Lecon scenery, possibly with the EGXV code. Hope this helps

Hi Ian
Finally sorted most of it out. Found some errant files for Leconfield where you said they may be, and the base is now looking as it should. Like the early model Lightnings.
Also Sculthorpe is at last in, and again found two AFX files obviously affected its installation. The two files were ESG2 and ESGU which I found were both named Duxford in the airport list. When I went to Duxford it was quite obvious that there were two clashing sceneries. After removing those the default Duxford looked as it is meant to.
Sculthorpe is now in with the B-66s but there is one small problem. When I go to what is supposed to be RWY 24 the compass heading is 06, and when I took off I was definitely on a heading of 060. Is there any way that this can be rectified?
Thanks John

Hi John, small update up at SOH, just look in Sculthorpe thread, replace old bgl with new. You should be heading in the right direction now

Hi Ian Found the update and all is good. Thank you.
Those new sceneries are a welcome addition to the Classic Air Base library.

Hi Ian Have installed West Raynham and found the same problem with runway headings. Searched the site for a fix like the one for Sculthorpe without success.
Is there a fix somewhere there that I have missed?
Thanks John

While we are at interesting discussion of classic British airport sceneries for use of FSX, does anybody know where I can find EGHH Bournemouth airport scenery of era 1960s where the factory was producing about 200 BAC 1-11s, please?
Thanks,
Aharon

Hi Ian I have tried out the Brian Clark's version which I found on MAIW as Avsim doesn't appear to list it now.
For some reason there are no AI Hunters which I think should be there going by the download info. Have hunted about to find out why without any success. Any Ideas?
Also have found when I'm lined up on RWY08 my compass is showing a heading of 030. Just to double check I flew into several bases in the area, namely Sculthorpe and Marham and the compass heading were as they should be. Again, looked around for a fix if it was available again without success.
Personally speaking, I actually prefer your scenery from SOH and am wondering if you are planning to do a fix as you did with the Sculthorpe runway.
Thanks John
