Hi all, I thought I had posted this here but evidently I must have forgotten! One of my many side projects has been slowly building up videos for a YouTube channel, which I have called the Flight Simulation museum, which I hope will become a great resource for cataloging, showcasing, and enjoying the vast and diverse collection of flight simulators and their expansions that have come over the years. I have two videos up now, the most recent of which I posted just yesterday. I plan to make a video covering the CalClassic website and this most interesting niche of our hobby. If you're interested, please check it out! youtube.com/channel/UCIfVYbhGhsAkpqvg1hye7mwThanks!

Nice job, very professional. I'm not sure I want to see how you treat CalClassic, with its dinosauric web site. No bells and whistles there...

Thanks Chris for this heartfelt video. And I'd like to thank *you* for all your hard work for us classic flight sim fans, we really appreciate it. Our FS world would be much smaller without your help.

Hi Chris
I can’t see past FS9 as I think it does the classic era much better than other versions. As someone who’s been watching aircraft since the 1950’s and first flew into Heathrow in 1961, there’s a big nostalgia element in my interest. Same for many here no doubt. So I’m both grateful and impressed to see someone of your generation contributing so much.
Thank you
Bill
PS used to spend quite a lot of time with Project Opensky 747’s adapted to take the RFP panel. Good fun.

Hi all, I have another video on my Flight Sim Museum channel! This one is about the hack that occurred against AVSIM back in 2009. Check it out if you're interested! youtu.be/wbBqBmJLEoo

Thanks, I never knew the full story. I met Tom during an AVSIM conference here in San Diego and he couldn’t have been more gracious.

Chris, thanks for pointing us in this direction! I am a dedicated fan of the RFP 747. In the video you say that you developed your own 747 Classic? Please tell us more?
regards, Thomas

Chris, thanks for pointing us in this direction! I am a dedicated fan of the RFP 747. In the video you say that you developed your own 747 Classic? Please tell us more? regards, Thomas It is in development still... I have been slowly working on a highly detailed simulation of the 747 Classic that is close to study level. I am only making the 2D panel though, I will not be making a 3D model for it. I use the CLS 747 model with a custom paint kit for that. The systems sit somewhere around 50% complete in total, with the electrics, pneumatics, pressurization, and fuel systems completely or mostly finished at this point. The autopilot is partially functional as well. The flight model is based directly on NASA and Pratt and Whitney flight data for the 747 and is as accurate as FS9 will allow natively. That's about all there is to say right now, it's taken me some 3 years of work to get it where it is now, no idea how long it will take to release
