All, Just wanted to let everyone know I uploaded some textures and config files for Chris Herring's Northrop Alpha 2 over at SOH. I should get to doing the same at Flightsim sometime today or tomorrow. Enjoy! Jorge Miami, FL Northrop Alpha 2

Jorge, thanks for uploading the further repaints. When you posted this thread, I already was creating a transcontinental AI flight with the former black painted Alpha. So of course, I replaced it with your nice metal version. The flight partially depicted below is scheduled from San Francisco to Winslow, Albuquerque, Amarillo, Wichita, Kansas City, St. Louis, Terre Haute, Indianapolis, Port Columbus, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Newark. Here some screenshots: taxiing out at Alameda, CA leaving San Francisco area overflying Grand Canyon taking of from Winslow, AZ stop at Albuquerque, NM landing at Amarillo, TX taking of from Pittsburgh Butler and finally overflying Brooklyn while approaching Newark Bernard

zswobbie1,
It's only over at SOH. If you have an account you can download it by searching for "Alpha" and then sort the files by date created descending. You'll find them about 3/4 of the way down.
You can use the textures by themselves with Chris' original plane, or you can try the whole thing with model, panel, and aircraft.cfg changes I made.
I never got any squawks regarding the "updates" as far as handling or performance, but I never messed with the air files themselves. Just the aircraft.cfg file.
Remember to hold down the "start" until the engine catches, and make sure the throttle is cracked when you start. If not, the engine won't start. If you use Ctrl+E to start, just make sure you crack the throttle.
In either case, once the RPM's are stable you can throttle back to idle.
Can't remember if I did one fixed pitch and one constant speed to model the civilian (fixed) and military (C-19 with constant speed props) or not. The C-19 probably didn't have the constant speed props, but I thought it would be nice to have one version with it.
Sorry I'm not doing much simming lately, but I've been taking care of my folks. That, work, etc, so not much time off lately. Once I can get more time I'll get back into Platinum Wings to see if I can at least get the manual out on how to backdate.
Regards,
Jorge
