Captains, As I also play Silent Hunter III, and Fallout 3, I love to hear the old swing and big bands. Also when flying the propliner, I play softly some music during cruise, can be done in those days.. even a smoke as Arthur showed us. No if you want a wagon load of music, then take a look here: www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=119668Goto the filefront page, and download some gigabytes of music. Spanning from 1910 till 1945. I asked for the creator of the packs if he can do a 5 year extension. So for your old captains, some music!

Oh, I add, the music is on the other link and is a burden to register, so I am downloading them now and will put them on my own server, so if someone is interrested, I give you the link.

Thanks, Johan. Just right up my alley. A good friend of mine, George Spink has a big band web site that you might enjoy. You cannot download from George's site but you can listen to all the big bands, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw and Harry James just to name a few. Here is the address: www.tuxjunction.net/welcome.htmJesse

Also when I could afford the bigger ComCast package, I had the Big Band & Swing station bookmarked in the Digital Music package. I like to listen to them when I am messing with MSTS and running my Empire Builder, North Coast Limited, Hiawatha, 400's, or Zephyrs. Pretending that the radio in the Observation car is tuned to Franklyn MacCormack, on WGN, "The Clear Voice of Middle America". You know as kid growing-up well over 400 miles North of Chicago, that WGN came in as clear as bell day or night. The only time there was a problem was when the Northern Lights were out.

Hi, Here's my favorite: www.whro.org/home/html/liveradio/1920s_wma.htmlOn Saturday and Sunday, they play the old radio shows from 4 to 10 pm EAS. ;D Here's another one: www.ratpatrolradio.com/..and there are also several places you can get the old radio shows, just do a search for your favorite. One of the advantages of the 1920's Radio Network (WHRO above) is that it launches in an imbedded player, so uses almost no system resources to play.... the absolute lowest impact on framerates. ;D It's really nice for staying awake on those long trips out to Hawaii. Yours,
