The film strip shows a couple of aircraft...one is the B-25, and the photo of the two at the panel is an early model B-17....The second URL shows the C-54.

Having watched Memphis Belle last night, it doesn't look to me like a B-17 of any type. I'd put my money on late B-24, such as the J model.

The shape of the window glass tells me it has to be a B-24 or the cargo version.

I'm leaning toward the 24J. The windscreen has the look of the 24's.

Page 8 says it is a B-24, although it does not specify which version...
1943 in Cairo, I do not think it is a 24J
Definitely NOT a 17 as the Fortress had control Columns.
I'll go for an early B-24

Agreed, this is definitely an early model B-24. It does not have the flat windscreen of the J-models, so it's most likely a B-24D or (possibly) an early C-87.
