ikkim1985 and garryrussell,
I hope this doesn't sound too picayunish but if you'll re-read my above post you'll see that I specifically said,
"I don't doubt it's authenticity" and "I don't doubt that it flew in these colors".
Never in my post did I imply that it wasn't authentic or that the plane didn't fly in these colors.
It's a great repaint and I hope to have the opportunity to download it if it becomes available.
Regards, Quink

Hi all, I think it was indeed a one-off paint job. I have many pictures of UAL Convairs very late in their life and they were all in the standard dark blue paint job they always had worn. It's always nice to have a little variety though!

quink : Sorry if my reply seemed bit strong and stricted, but I was just trying to explain. As I said. they could be just test beds or not. I remember Braniff had some jet color tests on... uh.. I don't remember the specific model, but maybe douglas series. Actually only for color tests. didn't fly on regular routes.. Anyway, I hope my words didn't bother you much. Happy new year. Thank you for your comments steps. regards

ikkim1985,
Gone and forgotten.....no apologies necessary!
It's certainly one of the better repaints I've seen and I certainly hope you'll make it available for all of us to enjoy your fine work.
Happy New Year Quink
