Hi Guys, I asked this in Flightsim.com but got no response. Should have come here in the first place. Im trying to populate a few islands in the Pacific besides Wake Island and doing so I accidently deleted 3 airfields from TTools. They are PLPA, PBAR and PLUR all found in TTools. If someone could post the entire string for each i would sure appreciate it. I tried finding them on the FS9 CD's but no luck.
Many thanks,
Harold

They are all found in Airports_FS2004.txt in TTools.

Hi,
You should be able to back up your current Airports_FS2004.txt file and then recreate that using the Collect Airports.exe file that comes with TTools. That will catch those addon airports as well. If you have made manual changes to your original file then restore those airports from the new copy. If not, just use the new one.
Hope this helps,

I have: PLPA,N5* 52.99',W162* 3.99',3
Don't have the others, but suspect they'd be (about):
PBAR,N00* 13',W176* 31',? (Baker Island) PLUR,S00* 22',W160* 01',? (Jarvis Island - there was an airstrip there in WW2 but I don't think anyone used it - think it's a bird sanctuary now)

Harold,
The last number (the question marks ) is the elevation of the airport.
Hope this helps,

Nope, FS9 or TTools wont accept either one of them. Thank you very much anyway.

Harold - PBAR and PLUR are using the wrong format - you need to include whole minutes as well as the decimal part. (Even when it is zero) eg: PLPA,N5* 52.99',W162* 3.99',3 PBAR,N00* mm.13',W176* 31',x (Baker Island) PLUR,S00* mm.22',W160* 01',x (Jarvis Island EDIT: of course it might be S00*22.00' but you still need the lot. Cheers MikeW

Thank you Mike. I've populated quite a few islands in the Pacific with military fixed wing and heli's. Think i'll give them a rest for a while. lol

That's what I'm up to now is to populate the military bases both stateside and in the Pacific and Carribean. Still working on the AFCADs and have only did a couple of exploratory AI flights so far. Also including the "Air Force One" flights in with my military ones.

Apologies for any confusion caused by not making myself clearer (sloppiness caused by being in a hurry to catch the cricket highlights!). Looked at Baker and Jarvis Islands on GoogleEarth today - Baker appears to have a 4800' unhardened strip running E-W across it's southern part. No sign of the old strip on Jarvis, though the site of "Millersville" shows pretty clearly.
(Later, after a spot of FS9 island-hunting and a touch of AFCADing)
Jarvis Island is in more or less the right place, and I've put a strip in the NE of the island:- PLUR,S00 22.38',W160* 01.03',0
Baker Island is not quite where I expected to find it, but there is one nearby which is roughly the right shape and size (but rotated 90 degrees), so I've adopted it!. It now has a dirt strip running roughly N-S in the eastern part of the island:- PBAR,N00* 11.81',W176* 28.79',16
They should be coral islands, but MS has forested them, so I'll have to get the "Exclude" chainsaw to work...

ha ha...good work John. I'll add those two to my list right now.
But then again maybe i won't. I added them to the airport list but they wont show up in AFCAD.

Hi,
Brand new airports do not "show up" in AFCAD. You have to use File/New and create the airport from scratch.
Hope this helps,
