Here's a rare bird about to take off from Toncotin in Tegucigalpa. Anyone know her history? Painted by Wayne Tudor for me as a favor, a couple of years ago.

Hi,
Serial number 43530 (261), originally PAA Clipper Pathfinder, delivered 8/22/52. Renamed Clipper Frankfurt in 1960 (probably went into local German service). Converted to DC-6BF in 1962, and leased to LACSA TI-1018C "Cariari" on 9/17/62. Purchased by LACSA in 9/63. Reregistered as TI-LRD in 1974. Cayman Airways leased it in 12/76 as "Snapper". Bought by Exaco Cargo in 10/77 as TI-ALW. Bought by SAISA in 8/80. Bought by Angel Arceiro in 2/87 as N653PB; impounded at Merida, Mexico in 1987.
Since it is an ex-PAA bird, there is a chance it still had its large spinners, but they can be removed so that is not certain.
Hope this helps,
